Law and Kid had their chance and lost the race, there is zero build up for them to take on Admirals and it would be a massive waste to gift them fights just for the sake of it.

If Luffy fights the big bad guy in a major arc- in this case Akainu, then Zoro and Sanji gonna fight the number 2 and 3, simple as that as it has always been like that and always will be.
Also before you start, there is no reason to speculate about some secret top tier Vice Admirals, nor is the any basis for that to be the case lmfao.

There was always a chance of akainu being defeated by side characters. By the time we face the world government luffy is going to have bigger fish to fry than akainu

Also luffy zoro and sanji aren’t fighting akainu ryokugyu and fujitora simultaneously in the same arc. Unless akainu ends up getting fodderized or fuji and ryo end up being fodder

He'll beat more than one Emperors.
He can beat more than 1 Admirals.

There is now way that Luffy wont fight Akainu.
