Sanji didn't 'fight' Vergo, he clashed with him and his leg nearly broke. The one who fought and defeated Vergo was Law. That is like saying Zoro 'fought' Fujitora in Dressrosa

Kuroobi is the one time in the entire series where he fought the serious opponent and Zoro fought the goofy one. It was like....their first arc together as crew mates 25 years ago. That's a bad argument for you especially when you consider that it was the start of the trend of one of the underlings being serious and the other being goofy and comical, and we all know Zoro is the one fighting Shillew in BB's crew.

Doesn't mean that Sanji can't allow to fight serious opponent.

Queen was more serious than King ever did in the whole raid.

He is the most relevant BBP, captain of the first ship and the most trusted subordinate. He has the proper goofy elements to be Sanji's opponent. The other candidate Lafitte was never really hyped as a fighter, he is a trickster first and foremost and the only one fit to fight Nami
Portrayed great skill and strength in Dressrosa, and now ate the superman devil fruit, dude is a powerhouse

you just forgot the part where vergo went to sleep twice inside a wall and missed all of his moves, sanji literally had to let himself get hit

A character having a more "over the top" personality from time to time is quite normal. Bon Clay for example, was that kind of character, and had important roles and moments with the main character. Not to mention that not all of Zoro's opponents are complete emos, even if some of them are more edgy than Luffy and Sanji's opponents

And Blackbeard doesn’t need a home base to be a yonko. Shanks nor luffy have one.

It's true that they wouldn't literally revoke his status but he did get his title only after conquering said island, and I feel like he would take too big a blow for it to happen now. Blackbeard doesn't need any more colossal Ls and even though he would still be strong as hell, his crew would be nerfed by the loss of manpower and resources, other than moral and whatever.

Who knows, though. I wholeheartedly agree on Garp's fate beyond the destroying the island part.

The only thing Queen was more serious about than king was sabotaging his own crew. Queen is a comical character, looks like a ball, sings about being fat, gets smacked by Chopper, funny reaction faces,...

And in EL it was Wanze, and TB it was Absalom while Zoro was fighting Ryuma's body

Even in the Red hair pirates, one of the underlings is badass/serious, and the other is fat, goofy, and is always seen eating.

Sanji fighting goofy characters is as set in stone as him not fighting women. Sanji vs Kuzan/Lafitte is the new Sanji vs Katakuri/King. Sanji will always fight the goofy character

Not sure how people are still thinking even if it happens everyone will get a match up or something... we saw what happened in wano itself...which is basically supposed to be an arc where powerups happen....and trash SHs remained trash.
