I was about to say Gaara wasn’t stronger than Kimimaro lol. He wasn’t too far off but definitely wasn’t stronger.

He was pretty far off ngl.

Kimimaro was about to kill Gaara if he had 1 second left in him, if Gaara faced Kimimaro literally 1 second earlier he'd of died.

If they fought much earlier (when Naruto and Kimimaro fought), Kimimaro would've outlasted him.

Sasuke recovery arc was one of the best arcs in naruto, but Enies Lobby is better, simply because it ended up with success.
It's true that the Sasuke arc showed character development, but it didn't matter anyway, because Kishimoto didnt give a shit to anyone beside Team 7 from that arc onward to the end of shippuden. Rock Lee literally only jumeped 1 gate in the entire series.

I guess I've reached that part in manga forums where the kids who grew up on Naruto and drifted to OP as it winded down are now the normal readers.

Enies lobby, fuck. Sanji and the rocketman trio, Rashomon, the island siege, Gear Second, Robin's flashback, Diable Jambe, Gear Third, Franky joining... that arc was the best time following OP.

Building off Water 7 I gotta go with Enies Lobby. Water 7 saga was a masterpiece.

If it's only the content from Enies Lobby alone then Sasuke retrieval clears, hard to separate Enies Lobby from W7 though.

The sheer chaos in W7 and all the SH moments thanks to Usopp and Robin leaving the crew at the same time was peak. Felt like my fams was breaking apart.

Sasuke and Naruto's relationship never hit the same to me. To me I was just watching epic fights (which is still great and why SR > EL alone).

W7 Saga > Sasuke retrieval arc > Enies Lobby.

naruuto in general was actually really good pre time skip. Post time skip it wasn’t the same.

wrong Sasuke Retrieval is 10 chapters longer, 66 chapters to Enies Lobby’s 56 chapters. Made sure people couldn’t use arc length as an excuse

Ennies Lobby seems like a spiritual successor to Sasuke Retrieval arc if you ask me.

Tough choice but I think W7+EL as a whole delivered better, maybe I was more invested with the SHs. The climactic feel of SRA was peak though especially Naruto vs Sasuke. Sasuke standing over Naruto, I get chills and nostalgia just thinking about it.
