Keep in mind the Switch 2 isn't even on the PS5's level, and yet your paying for far more for one game.
JFC, even Nintendo is getting on this nonsense. What a surprise. We may as well have $100 games eventually even before the stupid deluxe editions and early access pre order nonsense too.

Then they wonder why people keep turning to piracy or PC gaming especially Steam or buying games used instead of new whenever possible and so on. Also the "patient gamers" culture that focuses on waiting for games to get much cheaper, either by sales or permanent discounts too.

We did have N64 games around this price too at least and it was as ridiculous then as it is now ofc, especially when we're in such deep financial crises worldwide.

It's just gonna reward those who are wealthy enough to throw money at this or dumb/addicted enough regardless and makes some major parts of gaming less accessible for many, thus causing more elitism in the community.

Even worse there's no guarantee the game will actually be on the cart due to size :kriwhat:
I remember when some games would just give you a code on a CD shaped piece of card or paper or a strip of it in the case?

We really peaked in the N64, PS1 to PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and X360 generations, when we still got the full game on physical with awesome box art usually and those fun to read manuals, especially when the developers really went out of their way to make them special.

At college around 15 years ago, I designed my own successor to Mirror's Edge with its own physical manual and case with box art for my games design college course and it was such a wonderful experience.

Fuck man, we gained some amazing conveniences in the modern age of technology and gaming BUT we've lost out and losing some of the best things we had too before It feels way more regressive than progressive and we're largely getting screwed over hard to put it bluntly.

Maybe it's time to Switch 2 PC gaming instead?

I've saved literally thousands of dollars on games and gotten way more games than I ever would have in my entire lifetime several times over and then some, for better and for worse but a lot of them were free, gifts from others or discounted to the point of almost being free too.

PC gaming is not for everyone, at least not for me, I mainly only play Nintendo games or games on the Nintendo.

When it comes to games for the PC, Xbox or Playstation, they just never appealed to me.

Although a long time ago when I was a kid, I did used to play some games on my old PC but those were like old classic games.

Currently I don't own a PC and even if I wanted to get one, I don't have the money for it or even a room to place it.

If Nintendo increases their prices even more especially for the next generation after the Switch 2, I'm probably just going to fully retire from gaming.

Games getting so expensive is why I'm not a gamer

I understand some games being expensive with massive maps, stories, graphics and constant updates to keep the online play interesting and competitive

But there's absolutely no reason for Mario Kart to be any more than 50$ tops

Nintendo has pretty much used to the same graphics card since 2002

Mario Kart is fun but definitely not 80$ fun

I aint paying for espensive shit anyway physical or not. But if I play a game I pefer owning the product to pay for whatever the price is.

So that means physical copy, not this online bullshit where greedy fucks can change and do whatever they want.

People need to wake up and speak with their wallets it's the only way to stop MORONIC decisions.
