Controversial Selling Mario Kart for $80 sets such a dangerous precedent for the future (It happened)

Games getting so expensive is why I'm not a gamer

I understand some games being expensive with massive maps, stories, graphics and constant updates to keep the online play interesting and competitive

But there's absolutely no reason for Mario Kart to be any more than 50$ tops

Nintendo has pretty much used to the same graphics card since 2002

Mario Kart is fun but definitely not 80$ fun
I bought every game I pirated and actually spent more than 3 hours in.

If the publisher is not a greedy micro transaction cuck that charges the dirt beneath your boots, while adding his own agenda in it, then I show comparable dedication to him.

I know this isn't the political thread, but it's relevant to point out how we're transitioning into a renters economy. These companies don't want you to own shit. Soon enough, consoles will disappear and it'll be all through gaming stream services which allow you to access them for a monthly fee.

Even these new physical copies are just QR codes allowing you to download the damn game.

I know some laptop and steam sites that let you pirate games but is there a way to pirate games on consoles ?
