Anyone who’s still stuck between the console war and feeling somewhat superior because they game on PC needs to touch grass and quick.

all these companies are greedy and you shouldn’t swear fealty to any of them. I game on everything except Xbox. I prefer the switch for side scrollers and obviously its exclusives. I use my PS5 for multiplayer and souls like games. And I use my PC for rogue like games and Co-Ops while my wife uses the PS5.

Play your games however tf you want. And go outside plz.

The prices for games used to be less
but they brought it back greedy devils

and this isn't mentioning the special editions

500 AUD bucks for an MK11 special edition




the switch 2 itself as a game,
I am not patient enough to get it

when you can get other consoles for less

Thanks Nintendo. It's no wonder Reggie has spoken out against them at least twice now and quit when he did. Nintendo becoming a truly POS scumpany when a dude called Bowser unironically became CEO.

Idiots are just gonna further encourage piracy and patient gaming but the whales will keep supporting it as they have more money than sense/brain cells and want to feel superior, elitist too.

They pushed digital gaming to help kill our ownership of our games, to prevent sharing games and reselling/2nd hand purchases but they've never encouraged piracy ironically more than ever in the history of not just gaming but also consumerism/capitalism or whatever I guess.

Sorry but I just need to rant. It's like when some big, ass kissing YouTubers insisted games are "too cheap" and so games went up by price once or twice and now Nintendo does what others Nintendont and made things worse for all of us.

Good old days when you paid for your physical copy and do whatever the hell you want with it

Now you pay and don't own it, and you don't even pay for the full game and still costly (then additional dlc's/unlockables behind paywalls)

Yep, you are right. That's the reason why Gamefreak still comes up with Pokemon games having very bad performance.
Zelda games got a completely new formular and they are keeping it because it (BotW) sold nearly 4x the sales of TP which was the previous most sold Zelda game in the franchise. Even TotK, which got criticized a lot by the Zelda fandom, sold 20 million copies.

Btw the Switch 2 is sold out in many stores despite people's complaints about the prices.
I know I pre ordered the Switch 2 but it's the bundle version where I don't have to pay extra 50 euros for Mario Kart.

Right?! It makes me die inside when games have pre-order bonuses, day 1 DLC, season pass etc especially when it's time limited and/or axtremely highly priced too.

Then there's micropenistransactions, goonboxes, season passes, and even worst possible version of lootboxes in gacha too, which Asian countries WORSHIP.

Seeing ubislop and square Enix put microtransactions/single use per save paid DLCs for deus ex mankind divided and assassin's creed odyssey truly made me die inside. Microtransactions in single player games. Fuck man.

There are still a few major companies and tons of indie developers who sell truly complete games, no gimmicks ofc and Bethesda didn't milk nor half ass the oblivion remaster as they could have too, do there's still hope ofc.

It feels so surreal to think we got such massive games fully complete with just one payment upfront, none of this modern day anti consumer nonsense. One of my biggest fears is everything else adopting subscriptions and renting which is already happening and openly planned too but also everything becoming a lottery/mystery box/gacha system too. The worship of stuff like fortnite, pubg, squid game etc doesn't help.
Just look at these IRL mystery box monthly subscription services like those anime/Japan ones and snack/food ones, lootcratee and whatever they're called.

It's no wonder I gave up on trying to enter the games industry and actually wanting to work for companies like rare, free radical (RIP again), Nintendo, sega, crapcom, ubislop etc lmfao. Thank God I did give up I guess but I could have just gone indie or even fully solo I guess, like the assholes on my game design course actually forced me to lol.
