Future Events Shamrock will be Sabo's fight

#21
Shamrock imo is gonna go to Loki. There's already setup there.

Shamrock's words to Loki:

"If you manage to survive, come and kill me whenever you wish. I will fight you when that time comes"

The notion that minor characters like the revos (with obvious exceptions of course) are gonna be matched up against the holy nights is very optimistic to say the least, even more so given we now know that CoC is quote unquote "key" in beating them.

Anyways on Sabo, I think he fights Topman.

Something about Topman v Sabo that just feels natural to me.

Plus Topman is stronger than Shamrock as he ranks higher than him.

On Garling, I've said this several times before but I don't think he exists simply to be beaten as one of Imu's strongest subordinates, he feels a bit too different from the other Gorosei for that. Reckon Oda has a much more narrative-oriented purpose for him.

Not only that but the Revs never had any problem with the Marines, their main enemies have always been against the Celestial Dragons such as the Elders and the Holy Knights.

That is why Sabo fighting Warcury or Shamrock makes more sense than him fighting Akainu.
Exactly. Never made any sense in the first place and now, after having seen more of the revs, even less:

It's actually explicit lol.

There is a small case to be made for Akainu vs Dragon because of their personal connections, but imho it's a 10% chance at best. Dragon too, for the same reasons as Sabo, should fight Garling (?), Topman or maybe even Imu and lose in that case.

He killed Ace.Is that no reason? With Sabo having the Mera supports that idea even more
He killed Ace.. Because Luffy wasn't strong enough at that moment so Ace had to take the blow for him. That's on Luffy, not Sabo, and it's why we're shown Luffy getting serious and stronger because of it. The same way Kaido has a connection to Oden who scarred him and Shanks has a connection to Blackbeard who scarred him, Luffy has a connection to Akainu. So nobody else will get the pleasure of defeating Akainu in battle.

Actually reading the manga could be start to go beyond a fifteen years old (shitty) take though:

I wonder: if BB had killed Ace, people would still push Sabo vs Ace's killer nonsense?
I don't think so.
Ok?Remember Sabos reaction when he learned Ace died?It was on par with Ruffys

It makes sense in terms of the Rev vs CD agenda, which is obviously a thing, but Sabo vs Shamrock- I don't think it happens.
Loki got beaten by Shanks and now even has a revenge plot set up with his twin brother. Shamrock feels like a guaranteed Loki fight right now.

I always thought that guys like Sabo, Kid and Law together with Sanji and Zoro might fight the Gorosei as their final battles. But I don't know how Dragon, Garling and Akainu fit into that. Perhaps Garling vs Sabo and Dragon vs Akainu.

Ok? And what did you expect, a happy dance? Sure it was devastated: his brother died.

I really don't know how much more Oda has to spell out explicitly that Sabo si going against the celestial dragons, who are is life-long enemies/objectives, and not the marines.
It was something already clear back in DR, but now that Sabo and everyone around Sabo had said the same thing bascially fifteen times, one would think it would have been quite understood by the fandom.

Sabo's plot is all against the CDs base on his own admission. Sabo vs Akainu is as baseless as Sabo vs BB (the real Ace's enemy, btw), but it's no wonder no one pushes Sabo vs BB but someone try to push Sabo vs Akainu against all odds.

Loki vs shamrock is a possibility. Imo topman vs dragon make more sense to me and shanks vs garling.

Dragon/Sabo vs Topman/Akainu.

Can you really see Dragon fighting a Gorosei alongside Zoro & Sanji though? OP is not Naruto where you have old mofos that should have no business near the final fights stealing the spotlight from the youngins. I of course expect Dragon to flex and play a pivotal role in the war but I extremely doubt he gets a full fledged 1 v 1 against a top antagonist. Can see him fighting a Gorosei or even Imu but as is usually the case with oldies he will flex but will ultimately fall short imo. Sabo is being built up as the face of the Revos for a reason.

Akainu or Shamrock are good options for Sabo
However, Shamrock has a conflict with Loki and it seems they will fight
Akainu is currently more connected to Dragon and Sabo due to killing Ace and injuring Kuma
Green Bull could also be Sabo's rival. It all depends on whether the Holy Knights survive this arc or not

Totally agree.

Sabo vs Shamrock Is the way to go.
I quite like that matchup

Sabo is gonna have to burn him inside out to combat his regen
