Character Discussion Shanks’s top 3 reflect himself

I don’t think it’s been outright confirmed yet but I’m pretty sure shanks main crew at least doesn’t include any fruit eaters

Imo his top 3 guys represent 3 different types of fighting styles. With each of them probably being known to be one of the best in their fields. That possibly being what led shanks to search them out and recruit them

1. Ben Beckman being one of the best marksmen
2. Lucky Roux being known as one of the best martial artists
3. Yasopp being known as one of the best snipers

Maybe it’s the same reason shanks searched out mihawk. Hearing about his swordsmanship and wanting to recruit him but for some reason or another he didn’t

Am I saying shanks is a better marksman, martial artist, and sniper than his top 3 guys? No
But I am saying is he might be skilled in all of it. Tho a bit less so now with him losing a whole arm lol

Why the differentiation between sniper and marksman, anyway? They're the same thing.

The difference between Yasopp and Beckman is overall strength, likely haki, and the CQC capabilities Beckman has demonstrated (and no one would be surprised if Beckman has aCoC). But they're both marksmen.

Shanks doesn’t specialize in any singular 1 he might just be skilled in each but not as good or focused

Technically no they are different

They both use guns yes but different focus
Yasopp can likely shoot significantly farther and more precise than beckman
