Those are just some recent examples. People have been talking about this ever since Shanks got the best portrayal in Marineford, i remember very well i was reading Weekly back then
Oda is on record for glazing the shit out of Shanks in, and that's more important, out of the story. Its not some statements 20 years ago, either, like people clamor on to because they are desperate, he does it consistently.

Shanks is indeed glazed by Oda but it doesn't change the writing. Oda made Shanks getting scared by fruitless Blackbeard, gave Mihawk better skills than Shanks and gave Shamrock equal portrayal during Harald FB. He is not untouchable.

Bros really convinced themselves that Loki's strength is more valuable to Oda than Shanks' strength... 
Shanks, by default, is one of the smartest men in the series. Once we saw the DF powers of Loki, plus his own strength and his hammer, it became clear that it would be much better and more likely for Shanks to stop him without a real 1v1 whether or not he'd win.
Why this is being held against Shanks, I have no idea.
