So shanks is one of the pirates with the highest potential in Kaidos mind along with Oden (The main Kaido fears), Roger (the king of the pirates), Whitebeard (Worlds Strongest Man and Kaidos senior crew mate), and rocks (Kaidos captain).

Downplay all you want but that’s a gigantic hype for shanks

Kaido never once showed fear towards Oden, it would be nice to stop that bs now. He’s shown respect tho.

He was surprised, he saw Oden again when thinking about the people that can fight him and he smiled.

Get that fear stuff outta here, it was never a thing.

Shock/Surprise doesnt equal fear, and it makes sense why he would be surprised to see a dude he thought was long dead.

Im glad this chapter put that bs to rest, though i see some people still cling to it.

My guess is that Shanks' position is not only due to physical strength (which is still great) but skip due to political power.
