Just think about it, why the God's Knights only appear on Elbaf now?

We know the World Goverment had some sort of relationship with King Harald:

We know the World Goverment sent agents to Elbaf for intel and the agents disappered:

Harald died 14 years ago and Loki was captured 6 years ago, yet only now the God's Knights entered Elbaf, why?

Could it be that someone who was recently in Elbaf and was in Mary Geoise in the past created an opening for them? Hmm... who could it be... :choppawhat:

But why would Shanks do it? Why would he betray Elbaf? Could it be related to his concern about certain pirate?

Did he made a deal with the Five Elders? :wonderland:

That's all speculution ofcourse but one thing for sure, Shanks is the primary suspect. :endthis:

So desperate to label Shanks as a rat.

A simpler explanation:

1) Gunko came first on a ship(s). They talked about transfering the kids to nearby ships.
It is likely that Gunko summoned Shamrock after drawing the circle. The situation is similar to Saturn coming to EH first, drawing the circle and summoning other elders.

OR

2) The circle was already there. They already know about king Harald and may have been involved in his death.

oda has embarrassed these clowns enough they can't comprehend the amount of Ls they're taking so they rely on pure headcanon to cope with the fact Shanks is too perfect:suresure::suresure:

why argue with Shanks haters when you can just wait?:myman::gokulaugh:

Jesus Christ, imagine pinning for a self insert this bad and calling him "perfect", a freaking self insert.

Y'all are funny people ngl, actually dick riding the author himself.

It’s not shanks and he isn’t working for the government 👍

I think Shamrock's inclusion in the story is indication that Shanks isn't going to do anything outright evil. The summoning circles were probably just there from Harald's reign, who was likely conspiring with the WG.

Still, it's weird that Shanks has been given such a grey portrayal recently if he's not going to occupy the narrative role that Shamrock is. Blowing up Barto's ship, getting confirmation that he's been to the Holy Land again for unknown reasons, him being on Elbaf in the first place for no apparent reason. There's some merit to the idea that he's still working with the WG even if I don't buy it and it seems messy from a writing perspective.

Right now I'm going with the idea that Shanks was just on Elbaf to have a word with Gaban about the location of the last Road Poneglyph. If Gaban's not the MMBF, then he still might have information on where he could be.

Y'all try so hard but not hard enough to make it make sense.
1. Harold was in league with the WG as you said. The summoning circle could be there from before he died.
2. Gunko talking about their agents disappearing is already explained. "A giant crow appeared." Wher have we seen this before? Oh yeah.....Road uses a giant crow (Muggin) to grab human ships and put them in this Big Stein Castle.
3. Vegapunk just revealed to the world that the WG was at war with someone 800 years ago and that the OP is real. The WG is scrambling to try and keep people (pirates) from reaching Laughtale and revealing the entire truth to the world. They are pulling out all the stops in an effort to keep their weakening grip on power.
4. With the reveal of Shamrock, it was more likely him rather than Shanks who met the Five Elders during the reverie.

This is my theory:

Harald was born into a life of violence and death and wanted more of his people then just endless violence. Around the time he became king, Carmel came to Elbaf after "negotiating" the release of those pirates. He then listened to her, unaware of her true intent, and had a false view of the WG, thanks to her.

So, with a jackass son like Loki and a view to one day bring Elbaf into the WG, he arranges a meeting. The pitch: Send Loki off to become a Marine in exchange for Elbaf joining the WG. Obviously, Loki disagrees and all hell breaks loose.

Seeing how the deal is obviously not going to work, the WG representatives, likely Cipher Pol, see an opportunity to weaken Elbaf. An injured Harald, no witness...and thus they assassinate him and pin Loki for it. And there turns out to be a witness: a hapless old fool with a sword in his head. Who saw Loki go nuts, but no Cipher Pol. Perfect.

So, now Harald is a martyr, and his views even more respected. And Elbaf weakened, waiting to be picked all in due time.
