Shanks biggest achievement is his duel with Mihawk and that will be pirate king level+ battle and make Punk Hazard look like a joke in comparison.

Mihawk comes to Shanks camp and Shanks underlings are scared thinking Shanks isn't strong enough to protect them from mihawk.

The filler scene is the crewmate being scared of Mihawk in front of Shanks. And fodders being scared of Mihawk is irrelevant to Shanks's strength, just like Blackbeard's crewmates were running away from Moria even though Blackbeard plus titanic captains were in the island. People who is in danger are scared, it's irrelevant whether your captain can protect you or not if he doesn't get the chance to do so.

Well the magazine or vivre card already states that battle with mihawk made Shanks famous. That battle is probably the reason why world started recognizing him as a yonko.

No yonko besides prime Shanks battle can shake grand line
