Okay, I don´t think german food can really compete here but I promised to post pics and I will be giving my best. I´m from Bavaria btw so most of those things are specifically bavarian food^^





Next comes a bavarian cheese specialty plus some radish and a big pretzel as side dishes





The infamous Wiener Schnitzel is actually from Austria but in my opinion that´s close enough xD


Plus I think the (fairy tale based) restaurant chain "Hans im Glück" is worth a mentioning, it´s a german alternative to McDonald´s and Burger King. Funnily by coincidence the example picture here was even taken in my home city Rosenheim^^

German cuisine is underrated.
Käsespätzle and Semmelknödel are top tier
