It's made with cornmeal and tomatoes. Goes great with a spicy sauce and some grilled fish. Personally like it more than akume.

It’s milk tea with tapioca (which is kinda like a jelly thing)

Oh, is that like bubble tea? The stuff westerners used to choke on because they expected meltable gelatine but got solid tapioca instead?

Is that in the middle a dumpling or is it some kind of paste?

Bubble tea had a short hype here but it was over pretty quick and then it disappeared as fast as it had come. Which is a shame, I liked bubble tea

It is a paste of buckwheat\millet but people use corn,barley,rice,wheat too.
