Honorable mention to Yu-Gi-Oh, which is part of my childhood. Shoutout to Naruto part I and Bleach through the Hueco Mundo arc, but they both fell off completely for me and haven’t really been favorites since. DBZ is uniquely in a class of its own for its influence but is also not a favorite of mine.

I do notice I have a serious lack of interest in most ‘new gen’ anime. I know some of them are good but many of them strike me as either flavor of the moment, Togashi homages (I love the OG too much), or both.

At this point in my life I prefer seinen over traditional shounen.

Black Lagoon! Oh damn, it's really good, but I stopped following it after some really long hiatus and forgot about it lol. Amazing manga though, Revy slays.

Yeah, that manga is unique in that regard. Japan isn't much about diversity & inclusion in its manga works tbh.
It's BL still ongoing and does it update regularly?
