Speculations Shiki in Wano

we know Shiki design is supposed to resemble a shogun, his clothes and style is inspired from Japan culture

We saw some floating building in Wano, it can't be explained other than it was done by Shiki ability

The kurozumi hag know Shiki, and possibly her relationship with him is stronger than she just met him

Shiki mentioned in chapter 0 I think that he has a plan and it involve animals, the plan seems to be related to the beast pirates and smile DFs, maybe he has a hand in the beast pirates plot, the kurozumi hag have a similar view on the world to Doflamingo, it seems there's hints to some kind of relationship between the hag, Doflamingo and Shiki

Lastly, Oda doesn't want to explain how Orachi and Kaido became Allies, and with Orachi death most likely being a fake out, it seems there's more to Orachi plans than meet the eye, and there's some other big players involved in Orachi and Kaido story

I think Shiki ties with Wano are strong, and regardless of what role he will play there's a strong chance if he return it will be in Wano

Not sure if I believe another major ally/villain will join 80-100 chapters into an arc (its possible but its unlikely imo), but here's another possible connection for you:

- Hundreds of years ago, Wano was actually called "Ogun No Kuni" or "Country of Gold".

- Shiki's Epithet is "Kinjishi" or "Golden Lion"

Just some food for thought, even though I don't believe a connection there. I am curious as to how Kaido came to know about Wano though.


But honestly I'd love if you were right, I really want the full blown Rocks story to pay off here. If not, at least in the future.

Doflamingo most likely was using Wano Weapons for his trade as well, based on Orachi and CP0 conversation

Yeah, real sumo rings have those floating Shinto shrine-like roofs above them. I think it's held up by really thin wires or something.

So it's not something that would be a hint to Shiki. It would be pretty unremarkable to a Japanese reader. They wouldn't read that and think "how is that building floating?" like we would, it would just be "oh, it's a sumo ring."

I would love to see Shiki in Wano but sadly I do not see it happening outside of a Rocks or Kaido flashback and even if there are possible hints of him coming these aren't strong enough to say that he's coming.

Honestly, depending on how Wano goes, I can see the Rocks plot overall still continuing, either via Kaido and/or BM. As much as people may dislike it, Oda keeps around his villains, and tbh I don't see Kaido/BM actually falling out of the story even if they get defeated this arc.

I don't think they will be defeated in this raid

the build up to Rocks pirate return from the Marines wasn't for nothing, Oda start talking about their return before they even formed an alliance, I really really daught this alliance will not be a huge deal in the end, the build up is too big for that, just two chapters ago they talked about Ancient Weapons and a big project , that will mean something

also there's some other plot point in this arc that Oda is putting aside but need to be resolved, but it can't be resolved in this Raid

Hyori not being present is one of them, no way she doesn't play a role in the climax of the story, Momonosuke is not carrying Oden sword who he left for him, same no way the sword will not play a role , also Zoro for sure will get nidai kitetsu but it can't happen in this Raid

there's other plot points as well that can't be solved here

Rox pirates will be formed again
Shiki and Xebeck both are coming back
And Luffy will have to ally with an enemy to win either Akainu or Bb :cheers:

If you really think Rox isn't coming back after this line you need to watch some anime/movies

Yeah for the most part it won't work if Kaido is losing here, but there's a chance he won't

I know there's a lot of chapters wasted on the build up already for this raid not to be the climax, but if Oda keep rising the stakes and involve big mysteries and more big players it can work

Well a big case for this is the fact that Yamato's existance was entirely unknown 10 chapters ago, so its possible Oda adds more players to the war as it goes. We gotta see how this all plays out. Its going to take some time and it already is massively stuff (and that doesn't even include the BMP successfully joining in on the battles outside of Perospero.

The old witch played shiki at some point in history, I believe that shiki does business with kaido, he can control the underworld together with the possible son of kaido too, the NUMBERS gigantification projects can all be kaido and shiki work, after that Whitebeard refused him, he went to Kaido, maybe.

Another strong indication that some big stuff are happening in the shadow is sengoku statement to Akainu

He mentioned Oden strong relationship with big players, and then he wondered why there's many big players have connections with Wano

it first glance it looks like Oda is just hyping Oden, but I think there's more accurate interpretation to this

Sengoku here is talking about Big players having connection with Wano until the present day, but we know most of the big players involved with Wano are already dead, they are stories from the past

Some would say his statement just involve Kaido, but Wano for Kaido is just one of his territories, there's no bigger purpose to his involvement yet

Sengoku is being suspicious about big players having connections to Wano in the present, he suspect there's some dangerous stuff happening in the shadow, and he's trying to convince Akainu to get involved
