Kid being a BBP ally would be legitimately meaningful as it would indicate the BBP surpassing the Rocks pirates.

Rocks wasn’t a mere yonko crew. His subordinates were literally Roger’s rivals.

Apart from Kuzan, nobody on the BBP is even comparable to young linlin, let alone Shiki or WB.

If Teach is going to be a final villain, he needs a crew that can rival the WG. Kid would make an extremely valuable member of that crew.

Lastly, due to his preexisting relationship with Luffy, Kid might abandon Teach at the end, just like the rocks pirates.
Post automatically merged:

Rocks had at least 3-4 top tiers after himself: WB, Shiki, BM, and maybe Kyo.

Teach just has Kuzan. He will get more. Imo:
  • Kid
  • Mihawk(via alliance with Buggy)
  • Loki

Yes, I love Kid and Killer ever since Sabaody when they first appeared, and it would be disappointing if their journey really ended like this. For me, there are two possibilities for him:

1 - Teaming up with Teach and helping to kill Shanks (that would be epic and give more weight to his character).

2 - Somehow connecting to Shamrock and the Gorosei and helping the Straw Hats in the final war.

Whichever it is, I just want to see Kid and Killer doing well.

I don't know if he's ever going to have a huge role in the story moving forward. But, I could see Oda giving him something, if only because he seems to really like his design.

And I think you could give him some plot importance in the story. If only because of his Devil Fruit. Maybe he has to use his Magnet Fruit to help repair one of the Ancient Weapons? Or maybe he could use his powers to combine all three Ancient Weapons together into a massive giant robot, to distract the True Final Boss at some key moment. Or maybe Kidd could do something with the technology on the Moon. There's some stuff that only Kidd would be able to do. We could get some cool looking attacks from Kidd showing back up again. And that alone might justify him coming back, somehow.

Character importance is a different matter. I really don't see Kidd being the one to kill Shanks, for example. That would just be kind of disappointing, to me at least. So, Kidd's never going to get any closure there. And while Kidd has a lot of attitude, I'm not sure if he has enough personality to really have any memorable growth. Maybe he could DEFEND a island full of vulnerable people, instead of constantly focusing on revenge, and that's how his character could grow? But, I don't see any truly stand out character moments in the future.

Like I've said before, I could see Kidd ending up with Law and Bartolomeo somehow. Forming their own makeshift crew of the Sunken Ship Boys, or maybe joining the Strawhat Grand Fleet. They'd end up being another face in the crowd, but at least they'd be around to join in on the Final War.

But, I suppose there's one way to show that he could get a character moment the audience could remember him for. Him deciding to still be a pirate after his defeat could actually end up being pretty inspirational. That could show that no matter how humiliating the defeat...no matter how utterly embarrassing your loss...even if your old fans start calling you "Captain Midd" right to your face...even though you just want to crawl into the ocean and drown...what was my point again? Oh, right, even with ALL of that, you can still turn things around, if you keep trying. Never give up...even when everyone's saying you should. There's something to that.

Maybe Kidd starts wearing a mask and calling himself "Punk King" or something, so he can get a fresh start? Maybe the loss to Shanks could completely change his personality. Maybe he's so traumatized by his embarrassing loss that he's just silently making wind-up toys to keep himself occupied. If only for a few gags, before he snaps back to normal. There's a few different ways you could go with Kidd.

But, yeah, Kidd's still got SOME potential. You can still squeeze a little bit more plot-juice out of him. If he gets used right. I think his usefulness to the plot really centers mostly around his Devil Fruit, rather than his goals or personality. But, I'd love to be proven wrong. Make Kidd a truly great character that the fan base grows to love! Why not?!

I hate those damn Red Hair Pirates for denying us this. Kid and Law go through the trouble of blasting Big Mom into a pool of lava yet Shanks and his #1 glazer, Straw Hat Luffy, reap the rewards of it on Elbaf. It’s not fair.

And don’t get me started on Yasopp waiting until the Barto Club’s backs were turned before shooting them. Actual rat bastard behavior from those Red Hair Pirates
There was so much potential for this, my dude got sacrificed to hype up the most gassed character in the series for no reason. This could have created such an interesting situation in Elbaf. I understand that Elbaf is allied with Shanks but imagine if it weren’t for a second. Kidd could have had supporters for allying with him, the strawhats already had stalkers and fans in Elbaf in addition to Gaban, Dorry and Broggy. This could have easily served as the catalyst for some kind of a conflict between them. Admittedly this kind of sub plot could have ended up bloating Elbaf to a degree but assuming the holy knights still show up, you could have the resolution to this conflict linked to the conclusion of that situation.

Man With Burn Scar probably have a Crew,
He clearly wants to remain as a Secret Threat, He isn't looking for Fame,
However, We also know that He got a Scar, indicating that it's Someone who took an L before,

Someone with this Mentality & Identity, what kind of Crew do you expect him to Recruit?
(Remember that likes of Yonko have Crews that are Relatable, such as WB having Orphans & BB having Corrupt People & BM having her Family)

It's not a Coincidence that Kid expressed his Interest in meeting this Person not long before his Defeat,
Kid will return as Part of Man With Burn Scar's Crew,

It's a Black Ship made for those who once reached Greatness & then suffered a Devastating Fall,
For Example, notice how 80% of SHs Enemies get Better Lives, starting from Alvida, Helmeppo, Krieg Pirates, Jango, Fullbody, Smoker/Tashigi, Buggy Pirates, Wapol, Baroque Works, Enel, CP-9 ... etc are all in Better Positions than They Initially were Introduced (The List is Longer than you Expect)

But what about likes of Moria? His Legend is Gone,
What about Magellan? His Legend is Gone,
What about Kid? What about Shiki? ... etc

These are the Kind of Monsters that Man With Burn Scar would be tempted to Recruit & Promise them Revenge!
So Yeah, I believe Kid will Return.

No. Jobbing like that during the middle of post skip is worthy of the capital penalty.
Jobbing to the authors pet, self insert, most protected and wanked character with haki equivalent to joyboy, hurr durr.

Absolute genius take as per usual from Kidd haters.

Oda knew Shanks couldn't survive Damned Punk neither, he had to give Shanks as much protection as possible.

If Kid allied with Teach, he’d probably be Law’s BBP fight.

If Kid awakened ACoC due to the fight with Shanks, Law might actually walk in as the underdog.

Could be a way for Oda to give Law a CoC awakening, if he wants to do that.
i'm not trying to shit on other people's faves, i just dont find kidd entertaining, best thing he did for me was being slandered

in a world with akainu, bb, nikaluffy, kaido, bigmom, buggy, imu, shanks and dragon

he's a wast e of panel at this point

i blame the samurai from wano tbh, those dudes could be inserted in wano and tell their story there and would have the same effect

only supernova that got positive results was fucking capone

Yes but his role shouldn’t be expanded on. I was willing to give Kidd Elbaph to be further explored but at this point I’m throwing in the white towel. The plot is being increasingly Imu/Xebec centric and I don’t think including Kidd any time soon would improve the story.

Let Kidd rally at the final war, probably fighting Greenbull.
If Kid isn’t at Elbaf currently, where else would he be besides the bottom of the ocean?
