General & Others Should Shanks have let Kid kill his fleet?

#1
Many Shanks haters say that Shanks is dishonorable for attacking Kid while Kid's focusing on charging up his Damned Punk. Do you guys think that Shanks should have let Kid fire his Damned Punk and murder hundreds of his nakama before fighting Kid in order to make their fight more "fair"?

You're most likely misrepresenting information or you're taking into account a very localized opinion.
People are basically saying that this win doesn't show a real difference in strength between the two, not that Shanks is bad and dishonorable lol.
Lol guys like Noodle and Lee say that Shanks is a rat because he attacked Kid "offguard" (even though he approached Kid head-on)

Kid knew that was Shanks fleet. Kid was facing the enemy. Kid chose to charge up that attack. He could have sent his metal arm flying, coated it in haki, jumped out of the way, literally anything... but he just couldn't react.

He failed to react to a Shanks that came straight from his front in a literal straight line... that came jumping from behind a fleet several kilometers away... and Shanks cut through his railgun, through his charged power, through Killer... and wasn't affected by the explosion despite being right there as well.

It was fair. Kid simply failed in the IQ department, in the speed department and in the durability department and got owned like he deserves.

  • I let Kid blow up his fleet of ships and kill hundreds of his soldiers.
  • Attack after Kid had caused irreversible damage to his military power.
  • Sleep with a heavy conscience knowing that I had the ability to prevent hundreds of deaths and lose a considerable military power, all in order to defeat Kid honestly.

Shanks is a pirate, not a saint; a battlefield is a place where one can exploit any weakness of the opponent, and Shanks simply exploited Kid's lack of CoO and his vulnerability when using attacks.

You named 2 people(one of which is probably trolling).
I don't see the point of creating a thread about it, but I have no right to tell you what to do.
Just such an opinion about Shanks vs Kid I have never seen on the forum even though I read it enough.

I think it’s quite Rat-ish how Shanks, a yonko, surrounds himself with a fleet of utter fodder that is incapable of defending themselves, only to use their helplessness for his own motivation.

Like just look at Luffy’s fleet. They’re actually powerful captains unlike Shanks’s frog man, princess, and geezer.

That’s not what we say lol. There’s no such thing as honor in fights, this sounds like a huge straw man and sounds more like something a Yonko tard would say than a Celestial Dragon Shanks hater. Hella telling that you can’t counter anything Celestial Dragon Shanks haters say without straw manning us or misrepresenting the things we say.

What Celestial Dragon Shanks haters actually say is that Celestial Dragon Shanks probably wouldn’t have one shot Kidd if he hadn’t have attacked him when Kid was distracted and unprepared to deal with Celestial Dragon Shanks himself.

That's very disingenious. That's not what he surrounds himself with them for.

The chapter made it very clear: they are well-spirited weaklings under his protection. He sustains his yonkou status with only his core crew and keeps those others safe along with his territories.

They only add to the flex that chapter was.

They say that like Shanks came from a hidden spot where Kid couldn't see. He came directly from in front of him. If he had decent CoO he would sense Shanks when he started to move. And by decent I'm saying Skypea level.
