Questions & Mysteries So, could Jinny possibly be Luffy's mother?

#21
She's pretty obviously Bonney's mother, 99.9% chance of that being the case, pretty much zero percent chance she's Luffy's mother.
I know people are speculating that she's Bonney's mother, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Kuma became the King of Sorbet Kingdom, which means he married the former Queen. When Bonney infiltrated Mariejois, she aged herself, and ended up looking exactly like "Connie" who was the current Queen of Sorbet Kingdom. So Jinny would have to be Connie's daughter in order for her and Kuma to be the former King and Queen of Sorbet Kingdom. (Connie reassuming the role, once Jinny died) That's poses the question as to why a Princess was kidnapped by the CD's and was made to become slave.
Celestial Dragons see regular royalty as just other human slaves though...Charlos tried to and would have captured Shirahoshi if not for the Grand Fleet/Mjosgard, and Garling literally kills a king this chapter with zero regard whatsoever.

Are you forgetting what happened to Shirahoshi?

I don't think so. Besides Oda saying to Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy's VA) that he doesn't intend to explore this side of Luffy's story (well, the manga also shows that he doesn't like moms in general, as he usually doesn't flesh them out a lot and kills them in flashbacks...), this is Kuma's flashback, so I tend to think that this character is strongly related to his past.
I personally don't see how it would be possible for Oda to never show Luffy's mother, and give Dragon a backstory with his motivations for starting the RA's. How would he disconnect Luffy's mother from Dragon's backstory, unless it's a Roger/Rogue type of deal where she has nothing to do with the type of life Dragon lives, and Dragon just goes off and see her in secret, or it was some kind of met for a year one off, and then she died somehow, and Garp took Luffy in. But if that's the case, then it's just a carbon copy of Ace's parental backstory.

That was a special case. Charlos just wanted to own a mermaid. Why would they kidnap a princess of a Kingdom, and then allow for both the Princess and Kuma to escape, and become the ruler of the same Country? Speaking of which, isn't it a little far fetched to believe that Kuma just so happened to be from the same Country from a Princess who was kidnapped from that Country, and both were made into a slave, then they meet, fall in love, and become King and Queen of the Country?

I mean, I guess it could happen, but we'd definitely have to suspend our disbelief on that one.

Could be like Rouge. Oda also said in SBS Vol. 78 that mothers are antonym of adventure, that's why most of them are either missing or dead. She'll probably be killed in the flashback, but I think that she'll be related to Kuma's and/or Bonney's past only (it's actually Bonney's flashback with Kuma's memories).

In the latest chapter, we are introduced to a new person we've never seen before, that seems to have a connection to Kuma and Ivankov. The thing is, is we have not seen her before within the Revolutionary army. It's also oddly suspicious, that for her introduction, she is shown casually chopping down on a piece of meat, despite being in a pretty shitty situation. If this girl, who seems to be a slave alongside Ivankov and Kuma as a teenager, within the God Valley incident, then it would stand to reason that she would also help found, and become a commander of the Revolutionary Army, which she isn't one.

So this begs the question, as to what happened to this girl? Now we know practically next to nothing about Dragon's past, but we do know that something happened that would become the catalyst to him forming the Revolutionary army. Now at the time of the God Valley incident, Dragon would have been 17 years old, so it is possible that he could have been a Marine at the time. What if he was a Marine, and was also present at God Valley, and this is where he met Kuma and Ivankov? Well it stands to reason, that he would have also met this Slave Jinny as well.

So what if Dragon was on God Valley, and met all three of them, and him and Jinny fell in love? Years go by with Dragon married to Jinny, and one day the World Government finds out that she's was a former slave? She's either then taken back to Mariejois where she ends up dying, or is executed on the spot. That would be the catalyst that would push Dragon over the edge, and cause him to former the Revolutionary army.

I know it's not much to go on, but everything does fit pretty perfectly to setup Dragons decent in wanting to overthrow the Government if his wife, who was a former slave, ends up being killed by the Celestial Dragons because of it.
no shes a literal child here Jinny looks like shes no older than 12 and Dragon would be around 17 at this time but who knows Dragon was what 34 when Luffy was born so who knows, age wise closer to Kuma makes more sense.

Ivankov also looks like a literal child, and he's only two years younger than Dragon. Also, adult Ivankov is almost 15 ft tall, so he's probably at least 6ft+ in this chapter, and Jinny is only about a foot shorter than him. If she was a child, she'd barely reach his waist.

Also, if you go and look at 9 yr old Asia, and 11 yr old Koala, they look WAY younger than Jinny.

I thought the monkey having an apple like object on a tree was Oda referring to the saying, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree".

Luffy obviously didn't get his meat loving from Dragon so it has to be Jinny.
