Tbh, although the reason for Shakky's rescue is due to them being simps, I actually don't mind seeing a whole ass crew risking their lives to rescue another member. Luffy did nothing less either when Robin was captured. Neither did WB.
People hated how Dragon did nothing valuable when one of his commanders got kidnapped, raped, impregnated, being experienced on and finally, tossed aside like some trash. I feel like Kuma was the only one actively searching for her.
Yet again, the issue is that God Valley turned into Goon Valley due to all the simps. The rescue itself? I have no issue with.

That is not an argument considering Xebec specifically went to Mariejois, kidnapped some kings, threatened fucking Imu in his special vip room or whatever that is (Gunko was near him and didn't do a thing), then killed an admiral - a freaking top tier - and clashed with Harald which knocked out people in a 5km radius.
He did all of that shit without a crew. He went there solo.

What I hate in this entire plotline is how Roger and Xebec apparently had no visual serious rivalry aside of the fact that both simped for Shakky. Even in that part, Xebec let go after he had his own family.
Prior to the flashback, it was mentioned how Xebec was meant to be Roger's greatest rival and I was expecting some serious clashes against them.
I'll wait what Roger will do in God Valley because I'm not even sure if he was the one killing Xebec but one thing is clear, this flashback did Roger dirty, a lot. I remember Fenaker talking about "Nah, Shakky is special, even birds and plants are simps" but it didn't stop Wang Zhi to sell her ass to the Celestial Dragons. Neither did it stop Xebec to make his own family. Neither was Whitebeard fawning 24/7 over Shakky. Yet, Roger - the strongest conqueror - was losing his mind over her. So much to "Conquerors are not simps" lol.

If these were feats any one can do Oda wouldn't have used them to specifically hype up Xebec (aka Roger's strongest adversary). Not to mention that, iirc, that was done on the Reverie.
Dragon can't do all that.
Fisher Tiger neither had the ressources nor the individual power of Monkey D. Dragon and risked his life to rescue all the slaves in Mariejois. Isn't that true?
Maybe Dragon had a reason since he saw it in first hand how a pirate legend like Xebec died when he was putting himself in danger to save his family. Yet, it's baffling how Dragon didn't even try to rescue her. Like come on, you promised Kuma and Ginny they would be in good hands in your army. I get he's not their babysitter but like I said, she was a trusted commander who was kidnapped to be some pervert's (Garling) "wife". A simple "Sorry bro" to Kuma wasn't doing Ginny justice at all.
