After so many years of people insisting
"He didn't defeat one, just injured them and ran away"

Kidd apparently FORCED a Sweet commander to hand over the RP copy.

"B-but he didn't KO them"

"B-but he left before backup showed up"

If he forced the Sweet commander to give it up then either the commander knew Kidd would kill him, or it's Smoothie and Oda is shipping them.

And why the fuck would Kidd who was still a Rookie in the New World want to fight an Entire Yonko crew so early? He took the RP and left. That's not an L to him, that's an L to Big Meme

Oda is just a bad writer. If kid actually defeated a sweet commander someone would mention it before and his bounty wouldn't be a lowly 470m. This is just a lame retcon on Oda's part to make Kid look good tbh.

The supernova narrative was explored in WCI. Why would any of big mom kids/commanders be walking around with a rubbing of a lode/red/road poneglyph even!?

Because him defeating a Big Mom commander was kept a secret

Either the commander himself lied like Opera did when Jinbei defeated him

Or Big Mom used her resources to make sure the world believed that her commander defeated kidd and took her arm

Midnight can you actually read? Where the fuck does it say he defeated a commander?

In chapter 928, Kid says he wounded a commander and in this chapter based on TCB translation it only says that they forced the commander to hand over the road poneglyph.

No where does it say or imply that Kid defeated a commander.

Also I would wait and see what the Viz translation says, and Oda's dialogue for Kid in this chapter is very confusing so don't take anything you read that seriously until we get more clarification later on.

This is all speculative. Oda botched that storyline tbh.
Like Urouge win vs Snack is well documented already. And we also know Kid sunk a few of big moms ship.

What was a sweet commander doing with a rubbing of 4 of the most precious writings in the pirate world?
It's not like the stone was being transported. It's been in Big moms safe for over two decades.

Was he supposed to reveal that he has such an important copy to Luffy and Caribou?
Especially with all the Beast Pirates around to Report to Kaido so they would search Kidd's ships?

He probably wounded a Commander, and then said commander did what he was told because he knew he was outmatched.

The real question is why did said Commander have a Copy in the first place

Eh, no, I’m saying he could have said “i defeated the SC and took what I meant to take” and said wound instead. Literally no reason to say that unless he didn’t beat them.
