If this Luffy vs Kizaru is fight with definitive winner and not just short clash where someone runs and retreats then Kizaru needs to awaken his devil fruit to be a threat at Kaido level.

Luffy still has lots of room for growth and he has insane potential. He's probably the youngest Yonko to have ever recieved that title.
Kizaru is an old man who's most likely already past his prime. He'd have reached his peak power long before this arc. Once you reach a certain age it's all downhill from there.

Mentioned this in the other thread. "100 times" is a Japanese expression meaning many times over. It's not a literal number. Otherwise Luffy would be equal to Old Rayleigh which is not true. Old Rayleigh could not take down Kizaru.

Also, Kaido of the "100 Beasts" is not translated as that, because Hyakuju doesn't mean a literal 100 beasts, but it's an expression meaning "all kinds of beasts".

That's how it works, they had already reaches their limit while strawhats had a long way to get stronger.

That is the difference between being at prime and being a kid.

There is something called a skill ceiling and a power ceiling, where a character hits their limits / peak.

Talent decides how high your limit is.

Hardwork decides how fast you are reaching your limit. E.g. Zoro reaches Emperor level in his 20s, others are in 30s or older.

Luck / fate / destiny decides whether you're able to ever reach your limit or not (dying in process or disability).
