Because let's be real here they even didn't come here for Saturn so Devon can copy him they never knew he was coming and when they saw him both was surprised to see him

And Saturn told the marines to NEVER let anyone know he was here

So what was there purpose coming here for if the plan wasn't getting the seraphim or s-snake like most assume!

There are multiple ways of interpreting that statement, it could just mean she's shocked that the information was correct because Gorosei leaving Mariejois never happens.

Devon saying "mission complete" after touching Saturn means that was part of their mission, but there could be other things they had to do as well.

1- What was their original plan about? They didnt know that Saturn was going to be there,when they were sent by Teach to Egghead,right? Or somehow,they already knew that? And if they didnt knew,whose look they wanted to "steal" with Catarina Davon power? The Vegapunk one?

2- At this point of the arc,did they already leave? Or do you think they're still on the island? If they did leave,how its possible they didnt meet some Navy's ship,as they are all around Egghead? So i guess they must be still in the island,probably.
