This is probably the coolest devil fruit in the manga, as I always said Logias are the joy of this manga.
You know Karasu is strong as fuck when he mastered this fruit in this manner, the way he can create mobile crows that run through islands and talk autonomously is just nuts. His potential is basically limitless, depending on his haki he can easily be a solid YC1+ like Crocodile.

Haki follows portrayal, and it's looking great so far. Croco boy got 1.9bil for logia powers + intel, I'm expecting 1bil+ for this chad

grus's hand itself is turning into the clay in his intro box panel. that means he can create, control, and transform into a natural element. looks like a logia to me

soot is also natural, its just a product of fire. if smoke can be a logia so can soot.

Yeah but it can maybe be a special paramécia thing.
he is composed of soot and he sent his soot body somewhere else.

He never for now (iirc) created crows without taking a part of his own body. If he was a logia he could have created a soot crow without taking a part of his body. .

Logia, superior version of Smoker's df would be my guess based on simple descriptions of soot

I like his usage of it, Karasu had some fresh little showoff in this chapter. Glad we got a confirmed df also.

Paramecia or special paramecia. We haven't seen any Logia use their element to converse but some paramecia can use their DF to talk.
