I find the ongoing discourse about Karasu's Devil Fruit to be quite fascinating. Some people believe that it is a Logia, while others believe that it is a Paramecia. However, it has now been unequivocally confirmed that Karasu's Devil Fruit is a Logia, the Aerugo-Aerugo no Mi, or the Soot-Soot Fruit. Still doesn't change the fact that he loses out on efficiency without FS, he is not Kaido or lunarian..he won't purposely look to tank attacks when he can dodge them.

almost every logia in the series has been caught by surprise outside of elemental form and taken real damage, exactly like katakuri.

No. Logias just aren't in their element form passively. The fan concept of "passive intangibility" is headcanon. If you catch a logia by surprise you hit them for real, with or without haki.

I have my doubts regarding that.
I dont think logias need to actively make their bodies into their element.
While Katakuri needs to otherwise Oven wouldnt land a hit on him.

He doesnt lose on anything if his whole thing aint dodging. One can block attacks as well.
All logias arent Katakuris 2.0. They arent all morphing around attacks...
Why would Karasu be...

Katakuri doesn't need to dodge to not be hurt
He actually tanks bullets without dodging...Capone and his crew did that, nothing happened

He usually avoids attacks which are coated with haki
Even then he can tank them with his mochi body

People don't realise this

Katakuri is basically logia!
The only reason he's not logia is because Oda didn't want a man-made element to be logia

He only uses fs to avoid hakied attacks and certain moves, just like Admirals did at Marineford.

Wrong it does work just like a logia, oda change katas fruit from logia to a special Paramecia post drawing multiple chapters so everything he did in those chapters was the same as a logia.
