During Wano the community turned one of the best aspects of being a One Piece reader (making theories) into a bad thing

Many theories failed to become true, like Yamato joining, Zoro killing Kaido, Sanji fighting and defeating King, Raid failing and so on...

yet, getting theories wrong is completely fine and normal, the fun part was just thinking were the story could go

but the community created this tradition of having to make fun and trash people for having wild theories and getting them wrong

and that is stupid, people should be allowed to have wild theories and be wrong about them, without being called a bunch of names

Tbf theories especially the more out there have always been made fun of

Theorizing still used to be something many did for fun and really popular a few years back. The biggest things that probably hurt it tho is
1. How much longer arcs are with us being stuck in the same location for years irl
2. Alot of the big and major theories already have been made for the most part with is soon(ish) reaching the end of the story
3. Just imo but the one piece fandom being bigger and separate at the same time

At the same time there's a difference between theorizing for fun of it knowing it's just a theory vs 100% believing in self made headcanon as it isn't about if it will happen but when
Sometimes people been doing alot more recently. Tho that's pretty much always been the nakama thread tbf

Goda used to be unstoppable until a parasite latched onto him. It stopped him from writing properly from time to time, and eventually took over and completely stopped him from writing good plot lines and chapters, only letting him do it quite rarely. It's like the Venom symbiote. It took over completely during Whole Cake Island's conclusion.
