I still wanna know when the MC dyed his hair
2) The protagonist deciding to fight Squid Game. IMO I'd of rather followed a new Squid Game and have someone go against it or even have the cop from the 1st turn up alive.
The reason he dyes his hair red is because of the switch in his attitude and mindset, using the trope of the Red Pill vs Blue Pill from the Matrix, symbolised by him having a blue cap the first time he was approached by the recruiter for the games; as then he was in a submissive position towards the whole system, financially and in terms of naivety towards the sheer evil and brutality of the human existence.
The dying of his hair red at the barbershop also was concurrent with a South Korean news clip about the rising household, and it threw in about how this seemed to correlated with the many financial deregulations of the market.
The red hair marks the MC’s switch from naivety towards the darker dimensions of human nature and happenings in the world, to that of gaining huge insight, being now fully aware of all the dimensions surrounding this problem of the game, why and how it is being kept going; from impotent and unassertive, to that of now having readiness and boldness to take on a widely powerful organisation.
edit: policeman was shot in the shoulder, which is a telltale sign he will be back for next season
