If Oda really intended to draw an acoc clash he failed miserably.

When someone used acoc in the past battles there were clear evidences, people fainting, not touching, someone commenting on it etc etc. This time he did none of these.

It could very much go either way. The problem is despite all the fodder nearby none of them mentioned CoC. Hopefully oda makes it clear next chapter.

I still don't see what about the cross punch was so clearly CoC Coating. Luffy and Ulti made lighting Haki trails when they clashed. So did Luffy and Katakuri. You can make the trails with CoA

She's one of the few AdvCoC users who I'd have thought could use no touch AdvCoC same with Shanks and if Mihawk has it as well.

The "no touching" thing is just a "cool visual factor" that sometimes happens when someone hits with aCoC, sometimes doesn't, just like splitting the sky.

It's not like they split it with the shockwaves of their attacks or the sky would keep splitting with every single clash during Luffy vs Kaido in different angles. It didn't even split during the final clash with a giant island-sized punch and that attack was certainly stronger and carried better haki than the attack that had previously split the skies.

So no, it's not a matter of "having stronger aCoC if they can split it" or if "they don't touch" (Luffy and Kaido touched plenty of times while using aCoC), it's a matter of Oda feeling like making it a moment or not.

We saw what Adcoc does when Luffy, Kaidou Yamato and big mom used it. If Oda wants to backtrack on that it's fine. But Oda isn't being clear in the way he portrays it and this chapter proves nothing. If you want to waste energy fixated on that it's ok. But Zoro unlocking coc unconsciously and then uses adcoc effortlessly is not an option.

Can't say much.

Seems like he used haki on his blade against a hakiless Garp body. So it was kind of overkill.

But he tanked Garp's punch like a boss. He suffered but not as much since he got up slighty after that.

Not hyping him that much but also not downplaying him for that.

Not really.. It can be explained by the training they did..

How do you expect to not use Haki in a situation where it should be?.. That's the challenge, not just punching randomly on something to get stronger, there needs to be a point to that training other than physical prowess..

Because it's a more precise use of AdCoC.. The analogy here is instead of using a whole fist charged of CoC Coating, it's like a Shigan finger pistol AdCoC dose attack.. The attack is very focused and instantaneous..

Interesting.. I think it's just another new Haki technique being displayed like Galaxy Impact..

The funny part is that, Aokiji used a Named attack for it and not Garp yet they clashed evenly..

Named attacks are a big meme in general, they're useful to distinguish moves in general regardless of how strong they are, but there's no reason for Garp not to use his maximum output here, it is just a punch with haki
