to me Oda sacrificed his characters for world building

can't blame him but the old times hit differently

It's just a question of having a lot more screen time dedicated to it and that screen time was about the Straw Hat themselves exploring areas and interacting between each other, instead of taking care of the plot / arc characters.

For example, compare Nami and Usopp here in Onigashima just taking care of Tama with Nami + Usopp + Chopper in Thriller Bark for example, you can't even compare that shit.

He really didn't for the world building. Oda simply relies more on the minor and secondary characters for show off the world building and to be used as plot devices.

Oda shouldn't have separated the SHs for the second time.

The crew dynamic was still nice to see at FI. It was gone the moment Kin and Momo entered the story.

Hopefully the crew dynamic will be restored post-Wano, when the crew is just the crew without any stowaway.

They were less badass and things were simple as they were roaming in paradise. More cheerful moments and also epic in their way, despite not remotely as epic battles wise.

I like both pre and post extensively. Different periods and well suited situation for both.

With the large number of character who have travelled with them post TS get worst and it seems that oda is giving more panel to other characters than the SH i think he doesn't handle very well having all of them together(like dressrosa or wci)
But before they arrived onigashima,seem all together remembered me pre ts moments with all the crew happy and together

The post-timeskip era is definitely inferior because the Straw Hats haven’t had the kind of lighthearted interactions and chances to bond even more they did before Kuma sent them around the world, and separating them again from Dressrosa until the raid on Onigashima was a completely unconscionable choice by Oda, maybe the one thing that’s torpedoed the quality of his series more than any other

Not surprising, cause Anime Wano has been spanking Manga Wano's ass ever since it started airing. All the SHs extra interactions in the anime are so good to watch.
