Lafitte dodges Aces attack and you think he’s not too strong for Nami…
Namis opponents are almost never crew heavy hitters with major plot relevance. Look at this arc for example Zoro and Sanji fought the two most relevant Beast Pirates while Nami got a bit of a Tobi Roppo.

With the banaro island scene it is more than clear that Lafitte is not fighting nami,nami is either fighting devon or the hidden member if is a woman

There's no proof Lafitte dodged Ace's attack, and ambiguous manga panels don't count. And even then, Van Auger has dodged Ace.

Actually used to believe this would end up happening (still could). The battle of yonko children, self proclaimed Oden(but actually Kaido’s daughter) vs self proclaimed Whitebeard jr (probably not Wb’s son). I can easily see Weevil pulling up to Blackbeard and getting tricked or his mother getting paid off for their services. Powerscaling wise I think the matchup could work but at the same time I feel like Oda wouldn’t pass up on matching up the two mythical dog dog fruit users (Yamato/Catarina), their powers were revealed in the same arc too (even though Cat doesn’t have much hype) but idk I like the Weevil idea more.
