Of all the possible parallels and similarities, it just hit me - Strawhats seem to be very similar to Warlords...
Originally we had 7 of them. Through replacements, 11 ppl in total had this position. And then the World's 3rd balancing power was disbanded. The Blackbeard Pirates, who Strawhats also have parallels with, seem to have 10 division captains and Fleet Admiral who commands all of them.

A total number of 11. As of now, Strawhats officially have 10 members but judging by BBPs, they will need another member.
Among all the Vivis, Carrots and Yamatos, there is actually only one character that makes sense for the 11th spot - Wet-Haired Caribou.
I know most people will object to Caribou of all people as a Strawhat but it kinda does make sense...

How could such a scumbag and a murderer be a Strawhat?!
But isnt that what some people expect to be Luffy's greatest achievement - turning a bad guy into a good guy?
"Lucci is good now", "Lucci will be friends with Luffy now", "Crocodile became good", "Enel is good", "Kaido will have a change of heart", etc...

It will never work on such a caliber of people but it might actually work on Caribou.
He is the only one among the evil characters who spent time with Strawhats, he is the one that might change.
The Strawhat effect might rub off on him just like it was starting to affect Law when he was spending time with them after Punk Hazard.
He might actually start to enjoy their company and change because of it.

Robin was an assassin, killing people to stay alive. A killer joining the crew wouldn't be a new thing.
With that behind us, let's get to the actual parallels between Strawhats and Warlords.

Franky and Kuma - the cyborgs. One terrorized Sorbet Kingdom, the other terrorized the underground of Water 7.
Nami and Hancock - the beauties. One is Pirate Empress and the other might become Pirate Queen at the end of the story.
Caribou and Crocodile - the schemers. One was after the knowledge about Pluton, and the other knows about both Pluton and Poseidon.
Usopp and Buggy - the big talkers. From nobody to Warlord to Emperor, Buggy's luck is taking him places. God Usopp's luck is also great.
Chopper and Weevil - the monsters. Weevil's strength is monstrous and Chopper embraced being a monster for Luffy's sake.
Robin and Moriah - the shadows. One hides behind the shadows, the other became the opposite and turned into the Light of revolution.
Zoro and Mihawk - the swordsmen. One is WSS, the other wants to dethrone him.
Sanji and Doflamingo - the misunderstood children. The opposites, the champion of evil and the champion of kindness.
Luffy and Blackbeard - the two who cause a storm. Sun God and the God of Darkness.
Brook and Law - the eternal life. Doctor for the body and the doctor for the soul.
Jinbe - parallels himself due to being a member of both factions.

There are more similarities between each parallel. The lasers that both cyborgs use and each of their connections to Vegapunk. The two beauties that failed to charm Luffy. The design similarity between the schemers and the similarity of sand and swamp logias. The world-class lies that come true from the red nose and long nose. Simple-mindedness of Chopper and Weevil that is being exploited. The combat similarity between the shadows, both of them create clones and grow in size. The power obsession between the swordsmen. The opposites of Sanji and Doffy, good father-evil child and bad father-kind child. The opposite of Sun and Darkness, love/hate for cherry pie and soda. The death representatives that also represent eternal life, soul swapper and soul king. Jinbe's representation of reunion of humans and fishmen.

If we kick Caribou, we could parallel Jinbe and Crocodile through opposites - one brings life through the water while the other brings death by taking water away, one protects Whitebeard and the other wants to kill him. I am pretty sure there are more similarities between all of them if you dig deeper but that's it for now.

The parallels between Strawhats have always been discussed but I have never seen a parallel with Warlords.
It is cleverly hidden by Warlords never existing more than 7 at the time but once we take a look at their total number, it becomes palpable.
What do yall think about this one? :catpole:

Don't think so, some of these parallels feel very far-fetched imo. Namely Chopper/Weevil, Moria/Robin, Brook/Law and Jinbe/Croco (I assume Caribou was a joke). Even the other ones barely convince me, except for Luffy/BB and Zoro/Mihawk for obvious reasons.

Roger Pirates parallel SHs the best cause at least 3 of them are specifically meant to parallel the M3 and both crews are PK crews.

There is indeed a Parallel between SHs & Shichibukai, I like that you noticed that, but I will post my list without explanation until another day (It makes no sense at all from first glance but soon it will be, you just have to discover the common criteria used)

Zoro --- Mihawk
Sanji --- Kuma
Franky --- Buggy
Usopp --- Crocodile
Chopper --- Weevil
Jinbe --- Hancock
Brook --- Blackbeard
Robin --- Moria
Nami --- Doflamingo
(Luffy isn't Included)

One day I will explain this unusual List and I promise it's Mind-Blowing

Chopper Weevil isn't that Farfected actually. Both are childish and very naive.

Anyways, good thread @nik87
