What are some stupid things in One Piece according to you?
It can be actions, decisions, aspects or anything related to a character, story line in One piece.

For ex - I think decision of Whitebeard going on an all out war against Marines was somehow stupid. It was very certain that they would lose few of their major crewmates still he went ahead. Yes, Ace life was important but saving him was almost impossible without heavy casualties.
We didn't see admirals, Garp, Sengoku, Mihawk etc. going all out. If they got serious they could have done something much worse.

Rayleigh not taking the few days it took Hyo to teach him even basic barrier Ryuo.

Shichibukai power levels pre skip

The worst stuff is Oda nerfing Luffy constantly to allow for plot to occur, it's not really his fault, just frustrating:
Luffy not using G4 till Dressrosa, him not finishing Doflamingo off and wasting time allowing G4 to run out for expositional purposes to up the drama
Luffy's g2 super speed being dehyped selectively to allow him to be tagged by much slower characters
Luffy letting Momo get captured despite having flight and future sight.
Luffy getting tagged by non future sight users
Luffy not flying to Kaido before seeing Big Mom

Oda's tendency to redeem every villains even when you should not.

Bellamy was probably one of the best antagonist of the series in part 1. He was incredibly unlikable and getting his ass handed by Luffy was so satisfying. it was kinda like standing up to your childhood bully. His role in the story was done and did not need to come back.

I know people can change in two years but that's why Toriyama took his time to redeem Vegeta through his actions little by little in order to make it natural. Bellamy's monologue in DR redeems him too suddenly to make it believable or satisfying. In other words, don't tell show.

Contrast it with how Oda gave redeeming qualities to Arlong. Ever since the AP arc, I have always had the feeling that the Fishmen pirates were victims of slavery as an allegory to African Americans and this had to be the reason why they hate humans so much. Lo and behold, the Shabondy park arc comes in and fufill my expectations in the best way possible. Nami doesn't forgive Hacchi easily to later learn what happened to his people and we are learning to be in their shoes.

In addition, Jinbe is incredibly honorable and heroic in ID and MF which is a complete turnaround to what happened in East blue. The former warlord hinted a backstory with Arlong where we pretty much see the story in some way from the villains' perspective.

All these small moments lead to a haunting and profound image... Arlong crying for Fishman Tiger...

One of the best villain that elevated this manga into legends showed redeeming qualities. The things he has done to Nami and her village were unforgivable but you understood how he came to be a villain. It did not come as artificial or forced.

Twelve years of storytelling leading to that moment and it was incredible. I really don't get the FI hate.
