General & Others Stupid Things in One Piece

Well, in a way yes, but people are massively overrating him.
There is a reason Oda himself came out and corrected a mistake he did in a chapter, by revealing that Coby is still only a mere captain and no rear admiral.
I for one don't like the lack of logic, maturity and consequences at certain points.

The lack of deaths and real sacrifices in One Piece with people surviving things that should have totally assured they were dead. The worst example may be the victims of Shinokuni still being alive.
The fact that Boa Hancock suffered no repercution for her actions against the marines during Marineford arc.
Mother Carmel's picture issue.
The resolution of Sanji and Zeff's issue with Judge promising to not approach East Blue despite the Big Mom Pirates being the ones who threatened and could have killed Zeff.
The fake explosive bracelet.
The waterfall scene with the BMP not using their powers to climb the waterfall after King's attack and the King scene being repeated with Marco. Also Perospero not using his powers to bring his siblings with him at Onigashima.
Making that none of the BMP heavy guns went against the Germa 66 with only Basskarte, some medium fighters and soldiers without Anti-Germa weapons attacking the Germa.
The naval battle before Onigashima with Kanjuro getting away with Momonosuke so easely despite the Straw Hats and others having perfectly the means to stop him. Also Kid, Law and Luffy doing nothing to destroy the third ship despite having powers to easely take care of it.
In the same vein Jinbei's return during Wano arc.
Whitebeard and his crew having done nothing to avenge Oden or them not being aware of what happened to him and Wano during Kaido's tyranny.
Oden saying that no one could beat Kaido despite having sailed with the Strongest Man in the World who could have whooped Kaido's ass without a problem.
Luffy in general and him haven't really matured after the timeskip.

Kaido just throwing Momonosuke in the burning castle instead of killing him.
Jack using the gas weapon after five days of a fruitless battle.

Those are only some of the issues of the last two arcs btw.
I really enjoy reading OP, but things like that are the reason why I always cringe when some fans try to sell OP as a masterpiece of writing or anything like that.
It just really isn't.
It's a nicely done shonen series with great worldbuilding, but the writing has always been good, not great.

One Piece is far form it's golden era which was Marin Ford Saga ....
Oda fucked us up by giving us too many cheap plots .... and fear of telling us things that really matter
we didn't had a real good arc ever since the new world
that's why people now care about who's dick is bigger than other
cause story is not enough for them ... legit majority of this forum are reading one piece for dick comparison reasons
so the real stupid thing is "weaker plot" ...
I hope at least next arc with Shanks and Teach and Dragon and Imu the quality be as good as it's golden era

we had "great moments" or "next level chapters" but plot wise
7 chapter of reverie + 957 > > > all of new world arcs
