Why does Zoro uses three swords then?
Why did Mihawk didn't wanted to fight Shanks when he lost an arm 13 years ago? If all that matters is Haki, someone could use a kitchen knife to fight anyone, swordsman or not.
Haki is important to anyone in the New World, swordsman are just dudes who use Haki with sharp weapons. Everything else they can't do with Haki that increases the power of their attacks (CoA and CoC) will end up falling in sword skills, defensive Haki such as CoO and quality of the blade (something we can barely talk about because all we know is there are cursed blades, which are the best ones crafted, and black blades, that are still a mystery).
Dudes think a swordsman can literally give up on being a swordsman and he will still be just as strong because all that matters is Haki
It's the same as saying that if you give a sword to someone strong enough then this guy is top 5 swordsmen of all time by default
