The two peopel you talk about had the strongest CoC HAKI. They were COC Specialists and had the dream of freedom like Luffy. Them being CoC Specialists is what is important here.

Luffy is also a CoC Specialist. Is taaknted in Haki, has the strongest will in the series and wants freedom. Those are what Roger and Shanks have.

Those are things Zoro will never have and be.

Swordsman have the potential of obtain the strongest sword versus strongest shield paradox.

By forging a black blade they will have the strongest shield (defense) and by obtaining the Pinnacle swordsmanship they will the sword (the power to cut through anything).

Those powers shouldn't both exist in the same world so swordsmanship power is beyond imagination.
