By now, we've all seen plenty of memes about Tama beating up Hold'em, and getting revenge for the plier incident.

However, I've yet to see a full explanation of what actually occurred, here, and, since I'm the crazy fucker who made a thread about Tama taming Giant Beasts in Elbaf and becoming Yonkou Commander level to begin with, I figured I might as well be the person to do this.

The question I had initially was: "How did Tama free herself from Hold'em?" At first, I assumed some Ninja trick, but, the answer's a lot simpler.

In 1133's Cover, we can see that Tama is being held in Hold'em's right arm, with her legs near the Lion, Kamijiro's, head.

In 1135, we can see the Lion, Kamijiro, is now bleeding from the upper left side of his head. At first, I assumed this was the sword Hold'em held dropping to cut Kamijiro, however, Kamijiro's eyes are whited out.

If you recall, Hold'em would often argue with the Lion, and then punch Kamijiro, injuring himself greatly. The gag here, is that since the Lion is were Hold'em's crotch should be, he was punching himself in the nuts.

So, in order to beat Hold'em, Tama kicked him in his SMILE Lion nutsack, and, after Hold'em let her go in pain, smashed him in his real face with a Kunoichi kick.

At first, this might seem simply crass, but, this is indeed Ninja art learned from Master Shinobu, Tama's Sensei.

In Chapter 933, 200 chapters before Hold'em held Tama hostage in 1,133, Shinobu demonstrated her Ninpo: Ball-Crusher technique.

In other words, Shinobu has been training Tama... to kick people in the nuts.

What was Luffy's condition for Tama joining the Straw Hat Pirates?

I think defeating a Headliner with Ninjutsu amounts to "keeping up with Ninjutsu training."

"But, CoC, Luffy wouldn't want his crew to be full of people who kick other pirates in the nuts-"

Will Tama low-diff Buggy by kicking him in the Buggy Balls? We've already seen how effective this attack is, from Luffy.

Does this mean Tama is already capable of defeating a Yonkou?

Who knows, but, one thing is clear:

Kurozumi O-Tama is a dangerous individual, who has been trained in combat arts most would find unseemly. If you're a pirate, you best protect ALL of your jewels, because Kurozumi O-Tama is lurking in the night, ready to snatch the treasure, and then smash her foes in the... ahem.

Sugoi, Oda. Peak Fiction.

Still Oda BS. Shit powerscaling.
Your first mistake was acting like Oda gives a shit about powerscaling in the first place.

Have you ever considered that maybe the reason all powerscaling tends to suck, is because powerscaling is fucking stupid to begin with?

But without powerscaling, this site wouldn't exist to begin with.

Just wait till Shinobu gives Tama the Momo age-up (even though I don't want this, I've resigned myself to it).

This isn't even Tama's final form.

Sure consistency in power in a battle manga is stupid. Did you hear that on Twitter or Reddit?

many people forget that Tama was already quite strong even in the beginning of Wano. Breaking a metal helmet and knocking a Pleasure out in a single blow with a wooden stick. That's armament haki.
Poisoned and starved child without training. That's not haki, it's bad writing. Shit writers assign power randomly on the basis of plot relevance.

This is so clearly an Adventure Manga. That it's biggest problem: people want One Piece to BE a Battle Manga. It's an Adventure Manga, with battle as a big part of it. Luffy doesn't want to beat people up to fight, he wants to find a treasure, and become free.

What do Adventure series prioritize? Freedom.

I wish One Piece had more battle elements, and that some fights got more focus, rather than other elements. But, it is what it is. IMO One Piece is best in arcs that focus on adventure, have some small fights, then have the big fights at the end, after stakes are built.

armament haki is innate to wano as ryuo the way observation is innate to skypeia as mantra. if the child aisa can be an observation haki prodigy with obs equal to eneru, the child tama can be an armament prodigy who can knock out luffy jobbers

Ryuo is not innate, she also is malnourished and isn't trained. Loda.

Adventure manga based on battle. Bad writing.

But it shouldn't be. It hurts the world building, which is integral to the series even if we approach it as an adventure manga.

Oda should be criticized for that, even if we accept that he made it stupid.
