It seems they are the opposite as a character. Black Maria is trying to appeal Kaido working with her charms while Ulti doesn't give a damn about it and acts "natural" all the time. So one is a scheming character while the other a "natural" one (like Luffy).
The problem with Black Maria is she's a bit boring, she's the less fleshed out Tobi Roppo (along with Page One) in terms of personality but it can still change.
