King didnt take the full brunt of the Ul Tora gari. He won the clash with his Tankyudon attack but during the clash, part of the shock destroyed the top of his mask. There was haki's spark so he mostlikely used haki on his wing.
Too bad, we didnt see the hybrid form again at the end. He would have probably lost his wing if similar clash like that happens.
What it is more impressive is that he took a slash on his face yet there was no major damage.

Zoro has a great thematic clash with Imu regarding titles, especially considering that:
• People refer to Imu’s Gorosei as monsters from hell itself, and Imu is presented as the King of those monsters, which means he’s essentially the King of Hell.
• Imu calls demons the pinnacle of existence, and being their God implies he’s the Demon God to them.
Meanwhile, Zoro wants to be the King of Hell, and he has Asura, which Kaku explicitly described as a Demon God.
Imu thinks he’s the real deal, while this mf is out here with fake titles.
