I will start by bashing Kidd
Despite how much fanboys want to jerk him off we know Luffy is miles ahead
He was equal to Kidd pre time skip but then went and trained with Roger's right hand man and when he came back he had 3 other extreme diff fights and achieved both adv coa and coo
There is no logical way to justify kidd being more than a mid diff for current Luffy
He was grouped with Luffy twice this arc so i assume Oda still want to have them be rivals which is why Kidd desperately needs to achieve some shit against Kaido this arc and he needs a major power up for that
Since we don't have time for haki training it has to be df related which is where the iron ore comes to save his ass
If you don't know this was something that the RA were looking for and Doffy was smuggling the weapons that were made from iron ore since we already know Doffy gets them from Kaido and there is a weapon factory in wano every 10 miles it's likely that this special kind of metal originates from here and can be a good power up for Kidd as long as he is on wano and also the weapons Kaido has been desperately trying to make for world domination can backfire and help in his downfall

Yes. I don't get how law is also a rival to luffy here since he was humiliated against doffy. And he had knowledge of doffy's ability unlike luffy.

Kidd's devil fruit has a whole lot of possibilities with enough creativity and mechanical knowledge.
For example he could create his own 'gear 4' covering himself by metal (increasing his mass and covering it with haki), and maybe assembling turbocompressors on his arms, to increase the momentum of his hits.
He can levitate too, as we have seen.
And somebody better keep that giant katana of Onigashima fixed on the ground

In fact he never actually was portrayed as a long-term rival.

Moreover if we just look at Law's crewmates, the Heart Pirates, we can see how Law is a man lacking ill intentions, he will definitely stay an ally till EoS if you ask me but I don't think he is the Whitebeard of Roger here.

Kidd could probably get awakening... It's literally all I could think of for him to keep up with Luffy.
For Kidd to have something Luffy doesn't have, it makes him more interesting.

Doesn't seem like he has awakening yet, so maybe during mid-fight against Kaido.

Think he will get a little powerup with iron to be able to stand with Luffy in the first round off a fight with Kaido, but after he will lose the iron and need something more like a awakening in a second round of the fight

Kid is one my fav SNs,but Oda needs to step up with his DF powers,giant metal arm is nice and all, I want more creativity when it comes to his powers.
