Man Oda kinda failed with Kaido and Big Mom, when you see how well Doffy and Crocodile still do

well, basically WCI ruined BM's reputation with her cake tantrums, she had a decent backstory but was utterly ridiculized by oda in the second half of WCI. In the other hand, kaido has no backstory at all, just a random overpowered villain with a need for destruction, but it could change by the end of the arc.

Go search my other posts on him, I’ve explained in detail why Kaido is a complete nonsense character who is so poorly written that not even the best flashback in One Piece could redeem how inconsistent and nonsensical as his character has been so far.

I thought you guys always say they are more important because they are end game materials(2 of them) yet even Freaking Sabo and Katakuri(who you probably believe is irrelevant to the story) are more popular SMH.
