From Romance Dawn to Wano what is the story arc in One Piece that has surprised you the most in terms of story, fights and feats, characters or gags ?

Which one did surprise you the best in a good way ? Which one in the bad way ?

Dressrosa for being a bad arc

Sabaody because it ends in a dramatic way and totally unexpected. With SH total defeat and despair.

Best: Wano. Almost all the executives on beast pirate crews are interesting
Worst: Dragrosa. Almost all the executives on doflamingo crew are boring

Water Seven. I didn’t expect carpenters from Galley-La to be extremely powerful secret agents working for an organization that wants to recreate an Ancient Weapon and capture Robin. This arc gained so much depth out of the blue.

Reverie shocked me the most.

The worst is Punk Hazard.

By surprise effect, it was presumably Thriller Bark. Zoro mentioned he was looking for new swords, but I didn't quite imagine he would have encountered Ryuma's zombie. I was also very young and naif back then, perhaps I could have managed to foresee that nowadays.

The arcs that surprised me the most:
- W7/Enies Lobby: For me it was a turning point in the series.
- Sabaody: I didn't expect how it ended.
- Marineford: Blackbeard getting the Gura Gura no mi surprised me.
- WCI: Sanji’s past. At this point I didn't expect Sanji to hide anything.
- Reverie: Im’s existence.
- Wano: Rocks Pirates and Yamato (Kaido having a child surprised me).

Nor did I expect Luffy to ask Jinbe to join his crew or that the straw hat would be Roger's.
