The OG Theory why some, including me, believed Monkey D. Dragon is a former Admiral.
Additional, i theorized he fell in love with a Celestrian Dragon while he was ordered to protect/escort her somewhere. Together they had a son, Luffy. The woman got then dragged (after the birth of Luffy, which is a secret) into the CD Areas and "imprisoned", because of the unholy relationship. This also was the OG Reason why Dragon became the most wanted man. Also he left the marines to free his wife.
So Luffy is a D and a CD in one.
