No it's the opposite, the kanji used was undying bird and pronounced as Phoenix, although appearance wise it's definitely closer to a fenghuang

This all originated from ancient mistranslation, where Chinese scholars decided to translate Phoenix as fenghuang (in fact fenghuang cannot come back to live from flames), and dragon as long

It's directly written in the manga though?
:steef: Then there’s hope for my salamander salamander fruit, model dragon.

Though that’s funny, because I’ve been corrected before on calling it a Phoenix fruit instead of a fenghuang fruit and people have been vehement on it.

What fruits did y'all think Queen and King had before they were revealed (even before King and Queen themselves were revealed in Act 2)?
Neko Neko no Mi, Model; Nemean Lion. I remember saying this on Oj to @Veku when he wanted a King Kong fruit. I thought the lion would work since it’s impervious to damage. Which we sort of got already.

I joined the Queen is a scorpion hype train like everyone else.
I feel like it would be a mythical ryu ryu fruit lol
Really? If ryu ryu is reserved for dinosaurs I’m not sure it would get a mythical variant
