Really the question is what comes after. Is this done or is this not done? I don't expect the punch itself to take long, it doesn't make sense to stall it because Luffy was falling back down to Kaido mid air last chapter (the fist came out of the clouds and Luffy is falling in that close up to his face:

Kaido will get rocked to the ground.
Momonosuke will get a flashback finally man the fuck up and move the Island.
But just like Leo Bazooka it won't be enough but Luffy will be at his limit as well, so they both fight for one last time in the Flower Capital.

Luffy said maybe 2-3 time that he will end this.
I don‘t believe anymore in such words.

The punch itself is a fitting final attack, but the context surrounding it feels lacking to actually be the ending of the fight.

-Orochi's plot conclusion,
-Momo finally being able to produce flames clouds.
-The Flower Capital folk getting to finally see what's going on.

All of these feel necessary for a final attack really feeling conclusive, and this isn't even considering a potential Kaido flashback, which could happen after his defeat.

Really, I would just prefer pre-Wano to get remade like Wano (will never happen), and One Piece just get a Kai version of post-Wano episodes.
Would love that too.
I feel arcs such as Skypiea and Dressrosa are underappreciated because of the terrible pacing in Anime (Dressrosa in the Manga as well). That's why a season anime from the beginning would do One Piece so much good, could be a game changer for people that are overwhelmed with the amount of content there is rn.
