Kuzan asked for the Admirals to be dispatched on him, Law threatened him with the Yonko & the Admirals, Man utterly humiliated Law - the same Law who went on to humiliate Big Mom with a single powerup & some more boosts here & there at best.

This is a personal theory of mine... but I think King & Kaidou went to Marineford to because they thought Ace might be Joyboy. Since, Ace came to Onigashima a couple years ago, wrecked it, swore that he'd beat Kaidou and liberate Wano etc,. and both King & Kaidou knew from the beginning that Joyboy is the man who'd beat Kaidou & liberate Wano.

What if they believe that Nika DF is Mera Mera no Mi? Only for them to realize that it's not during the timeskip? The reason why it is in Doffy's hands...

Him backing down when MF was such a perfect way for him actually reinforces the idea that Shanks didnt spook him back to Wano, but that he was convinced in some other way instead. Hell he didnt even get a scar fron Shanks so they definitely didnt have a serious fight. I have Shanks as equal to Kaido, putting an one armed human with no fruit above him makes no sense to me
