Also, yeah guy had assistance from minato Lee and kakashi. But that's because he was against like the 2nd or 3rd strongest villain from the entire manga. Madara himself commended guys taijutsu.
Do you really think that without guy occupying the majority of madara's attention at that time, the others would have survived? And don't mention the author would find a way, that's not the discussion. The discussion is, in the same scenario, had guy not had the 8th gate, would they all have survived? Imo no. They would be easy pickings for Juubidara.
