I wish more mangas, or just stories in general, that have prophecies used them more like Percy Jackson does.

For those that don't know, in Percy Jackson books there's always prophecies (one for the whole series, and smaller ones for each book)

But the prophecies are a mixture of good things, bad things and just guidance of what to do. So most of the time, people don't want the prophecy to actually happen, because bad shit always happen at the end, so instead of taking out the stakes of the story, it actually increases the stakes of the story, because you know that by the end of a book (or the whole series) some big shit has to happen.

I also like how even tho there's a prophecy saying something will happen, it's confirmed that the prophecies have enough vagueness to them because they are not set in stone, some lines can have a few options of how they will turn out based on the actions of the characters, because the Fates will only decide when the time comes.

So that series also had a "chosen one" prophecy from the first book, but it was vague enough that a few characters could end up being the chose one, and in fact people (both villains and heroes) along the series started trying to manipulate the prophecy to allow characters to either be removed as an option for the chosen one, or added as options for that prophecy.
