Hawkins played a good trick here, no doubt. But so far he had nothing to offer to hurt killer or win against him. Even if killer would have slaughtered kid indirectly, Hawkins would absolute open after that. Opening his hostage was the only way how Hawkins could survive this, otherwise killer would have slaughtered the last puppet and after that, he would have slaughtered Hawkins. Obviously was not even the monster scarecrow any kind of useful against killer.

But we all know Hawkins also has other stuff that he can use to fight against Killer. He will definitely show more abilities in this fight, just like at the beginning of Wano.

The fish being giant doesn't change anything, its still a fish in the OP world (fodder). Zoro's 1 sword flying slash technique is like Luffy's base pistol at this point. So weak that they rarely ever use it nowadays. Compare that to the attack that finished Killer and it should be obv which technique is stronger.
