Law and Kid, two guys who Oda wants us to believe are around the same level as Luffy beat Big Mom via tactics and luck. Oda is basically telling us is extremely hard to beat a Yonko.

I bet a lot of people would be like “that’s it?” If Kaido loses in the next couple of chapters. The expectations he set for the Yonko need to be matched

It already happened in chapter 923 and chapter 1013. Other characters especially scabbards being alive dented Kaidou character. Even if Luffy loses now, it will be same as Kaidou can't/won't kill any character. So at the end, it will be pointless drag.
