When Vegapunk was talking about the One Piece in his speech, and Oda showed us the famous panel, none of the elders were in it, however all the 3 Figarlands were shown. Shamrock, Garling, and Shanks.
If the elders were really so important, Oda would have shown them.

Gunko is Imu’s personal assistant and vessell >> Gorosei who couldn’t capture Sabo

They got nothing over her. Status, immortality, regen, etc
